Cradle Fund Sdn. Bhd. (Cradle) is Malaysia's focal point agency for early-stage startups, established in 2003 under the Ministry of Finance and currently administered by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). Its mission is to create a supportive ecosystem for technology entrepreneurs and innovators through various funding programs and initiatives. Notably, Cradle has funded over 1,000 Malaysian technology-based companies across multiple sectors, achieving the highest commercialization rate among funding agencies in the country.
Cradle offers several key programs:
Cradle Investment Programme (CIP): Provides conditional grants such as CIP SPARK, offering up to RM150,000 for development and pre-commercialization activities, and CIP SPRINT, offering up to RM600,000 for commercialization efforts.
MYStartup: An initiative aimed at strengthening the Malaysian startup ecosystem through comprehensive technical support and guidance programs.
Cradle Seed Ventures (CSV): The venture capital arm focusing on early-stage investments in the digital and technology sectors.
